REVIEW: Beauty and the Beast (2017)

An adaptation of the fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love.

Director: Bill Condon

"It was a last full show so I wasn’t attentive with the details and all. So, you got to forgive me if I am going to miss something along the way and if I am going to be a little bit short in praising the movie.

As usual, Disney will forever always be thumbs up for me since I am a big Disney fan. Whatever expectations you have for this movie, most probably they’ve met it and maybe a bit higher. Emma Watson was incredibly beautiful in this movie. I mean, she has always been but in this movie, she’s perfect. She portrayed Belle and as Belle, she owned it.

I am going to point this one out again. I was very sleepy (note: it was a last full show) and the movie was a musical. I wanted to be very awake for the movie but then, when the singing part comes in, I just wanted to doze off or I just wanted the singing part to end. I chose the wrong time to watch Beauty and the Beast. That’s for sure.

A lot of videos were released online about the movie being a spot-on remake from the animated one that was released ages ago. If that is so, then bravo Disney! Good job! Anyhow, I am just glad that they stuck to the story line and you know, there’s no use to ruin a classic. You will just bring out some hate.

Amidst my sleepiness, tears poured when THE moment came. It was heart wrenching most especially the time finally came when everyone stopped talking and moving and literally became the antique stuff that they were. There’s always worth crying about goodbyes.

I heard Disney will be doing more of these stuffs from their animated movies and I just can’t wait what’s in store! One thing I should remember though: Never watch it on a last full show."

If she is the one who'll break the spell, you must finally learn to love.
